Butterfly Ranch Creations was born out of curiosity, creativity, and a love for nature and recycling. The journey began when visitors to our ranch introduced us to the fascinating world of Cochineal dye while planting milkweed and other seeds to support butterflies. Intrigued by the vibrant colors this natural dye produced, I began researching and soon discovered the art of handmade paper. From the very first sheet, the process of transforming recycled paper into something new and beautiful became a passion.

From this, I started experimenting with other natural dyes and sustainable techniques. This exploration grew into a shop dedicated to handmade papers, cards, faux leather journals, and bookmarks crafted from recycled paper, natural dyes, and dried flowers. Each sheet is carefully formed with a traditional mold and deckle, giving it a soft, textured look and feel. Every piece carries a personal, heartfelt touch, inspired by a lifelong love of sending and receiving cards.

    Each sheet of Butterfly Ranch Creations paper is crafted one sheet at a time using homemade natural dyes and recycled materials. Created with a traditional mold and deckle, the paper features soft, organic edges and a surface that is smooth yet beautifully textured. The result is a one-of-a-kind medium perfect for writing, printing, or creative projects.

    Our handcrafted faux leather journals are made from recycled brown paper bags,
    Each cover is finished with distressed inks and may be enhanced with embossed textures for added character. They are lined with fabric and include ten sheets (twenty total pages) of our handmade paper sewn inside.

    Our faux leather bookmarks are created from the remnants of our journals, ensuring no part goes to waste!
